Amsterdam has a number of international coach (bus) services which can take you around Europe.
In this article we will take a detailed look at coach companies operating from Amsterdam and the Netherlands – Flixbus, BlaBlaCar Bus and RegioJet. Note, Eurolines was taken over by Flixbus in 2020.
Flixbus in Amsterdam
Flixbus is a long-distance international bus company from Germany. It operates coach services from Amsterdam and other Dutch cities to both Germany and European destinations.

Flixbus operates regular services between Amsterdam and many cities in Germany including Berlin, Cologne, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Emmerich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Heidelberg, Koblenz, Mainz, Munich and Stuttgart.

Flixbus uses a fleet of modern buses with comfortable seating (78cm/31″ pitch), power sockets and free WiFi. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase on board.
Ticketed passengers are able to bring 1 case with maximum weight of 20kg (80 x 50 x 30cm) plus one piece of hand luggage (max 7kg, 42 x 30 x 18cm). UK routes allow 2 cases; from other countries a second case can be added during the booking process for an extra fee.
The main Flixbus stop in Amsterdam is just outside Amsterdam Sloterdijk station (at Piarcoplein, 1043 DW Amsterdam). Flixbus has a small ticket office there.

BlaBlaCar Bus in Amsterdam
BlaBlaCar Bus (formerly known as Ouibus and iDBUS) is a European coach (bus) company which offers international services to and from Amsterdam. Book your BlaBlaCar Bus tickets (via Omio) here
iDBUS/OUIBUS was originally founded by SNCF (French Railways). In 2018 it was taken over by French carpool company BlaBlaCar. It was briefly rebranded as BlaBlaBus but is now known as BlaBlaCar Bus.
In Amsterdam the BlaBlaCar Bus coaches depart/arrive from Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station (Piarcoplein 69, 1043 Amsterdam – the same as Flixbus) in the west of the city.

BlaBlaCar Bus operates direct international coach services from Amsterdam to the following destinations:

BlaBlaCar Bus has a number of other bus routes from its Paris hub including many domestic French cities, Genoa/Milan/Turin (Italy), Geneva (Switzerland), Madrid/Barcelona (Spain) and Lisbon (Portugal).
BlaBlaCar Bus luggage: 1 free item of hold luggage (max 23kg) is permitted plus 2 pieces of hand-luggage on board. Additional hold luggage can be purchased per one-way trip.
BlaBlaCar Bus coaches have 48 adjustable seats on board with leather headrests that offer 84cm (33″) seat pitch. Each pair of seats has a power outlet (European) and USB ports, there is free WiFi and TV screens show the geolocation of the bus in real time.
Seating is assigned by number and on some routes passengers can choose their seat (for a small fee) when they book. The buses are wheelchair accessible and there is a toilet on board.
Passengers are currently advised to arrive at least 60 minutes before departure.

RegioJet in Amsterdam
RegioJet is a Czech coach and rail operator which runs a daily overnight bus service between Amsterdam Sloterdijk and Prague via Germany. Book your RegioJet bus tickets (via Omio) here
RegioJet buses offer free WiFi and free hot drinks. Each double seat has a power outlet (and some buses have USB ports as well) and each seat back has a touchscreen with entertainment portal.
